Garden City Park Water District
 

 

 

The Garden City Park Water District serves some 6430 residential and 647 commercial customers in a 2.2 square mile area.

The estimated population within the district is 20,000

In 2012 the District pumped a total of 1.152 billion gallons of water. June was the peak month, with February the lowest demand month.

The maximum daily usage in 2012 was 6.17 million gallons per day per day on July 17 2012.

In case of an emergency the District has connections with six neighboring districts - Western Nassau Supply, Albertson, Manhasset-Lakeville, Mineola, Williston Park and Garden City

The District's transmission-distribution system consists of about 76 miles of 6" to 24" distribution mains.

Every gallon of water consumed by District users is recorded by computer and billed accordingly

Our water comes from six wells with two water storage towers, four underground storage tanks and five treatment plants.

Founded in 1922, the Garden City Park Water District has served the District for 90 Years
